+# What is NetBox?
+
+NetBox is an open source application designed to function as the “source of truth” for network infrastructure. It is used to model all aspects of a network, including IP address management (IPAM), datacenter infrastructure management (DCIM), and more. Thousands of organizations large and small around the world rely on NetBox to drive their network automation strategies.
+
+# Why Become a Sponsor?
+
+As an open source project, NetBox is wholly reliant on the largely volunteer efforts of its community and sponsors for continued development. Sponsorship helps to ensure the project’s long-term viability as a crucial component of network automation systems. In exchange, your organization will receive recognition as a key enabler of the functionality that NetBox provides.

+# What does Sponsorship Entail?
+
+In exchange for your quantifiable contribution to the project as outlined below, your organization will be entitled to promotion as a NetBox sponsor. This includes:
+
+* Your logo, link, and short description featured on our sponsors page
+* Logo and link placement in the project [README](https://github.com/netbox-community/netbox/blob/develop/README.md) (the main GitHub page)
+
+## Avenues for Sponsorship
+
+There are several avenues through which your organization can help support NetBox. Please note that we don’t have discrete sponsorship tiers.
+
+## Maintainer Employment
+
+Organizations which employ a NetBox maintainer are eligible for sponsor status for the duration of that employee’s role on the maintainers team. To qualify for a maintainer spot, your employee must meet the following requirements:
+
+* Extensive familiarity with NetBox, the Django framework, and Python development
+* Reasonable familiarity with network technologies
+* Proven experience working in open source
+* Able to commit ~4 hours per week on average to the project
+* Willing to work as part of a team toward project goals
+
+The [maintainer responsibilities](https://github.com/netbox-community/netbox/wiki/Maintainer-Responsibilities) page has more detail. Ultimately, the current maintainers team at any time has control over whether or not any individual will be invited to join. As the team is limited in size, there may not always be a slot available.
+
+This form of sponsorship will remain in effect until either the employee is no longer part of the maintainers team, or the employee is no longer employed by the sponsoring organization.
+
+## Paid Hosting
+
+Sponsorship may also take the form of paid hosting. As an open source project, we have needs for paid services such as:
+
+* Web and email hosting
+* Demo/test instance hosting
+* Continuous integration credits (GitHub actions, Travis CI, etc.)
+
+Companies which commit to providing such resources at no cost (up to an agreed upon maximum amount) are eligible for sponsor placement.

+## Direct Funding
+
+Sponsorship in the form of direct funding is currently under consideration by the NetBox maintainers. If you’re interested, please let us know!

+# Sponsor Restrictions
+
+The NetBox maintainers team reserves the right to decline sponsorship from any entity for any reason. Although uncommon, some examples of disqualifying attributes would be:
+
+* Engagement in illegal or controversial business
+* Ownership of or advocacy for a directly competing product
+* Poor public conduct by the organization or its employees
+* Disparagement of the project or of any of the products on which it relies

+

+Accepted sponsors will be asked to supply the following items for publishing:

+* Full company name (exactly as you’d like it written)
+* Company logo with white or transparent background (SVG or 200x200px PNG)
+* Desired URL for linking
+* A brief description of your organization
